Pesticide-free
Non-organic food samples may contain a variety of pesticide residues which may affect the reproductive, immune and nervous system of humans. Organic produces by virtue of not using them are free of such dangers.
Nothing artificial
Artificial ingredients like preservatives, sweeteners, colorings and flavorings, MSG, hydrogenated fat, and phosphoric acid in food and drink have been proved to have long-term health risks. Organic food is bereft of such additives.
Better health
Studies have shown that people eating organic food experienced a marked decline in colds and influenza, had rapid convalescence, excellent general health, fewer sports injuries, a greater resilience to fractures and sprains, clear and healthy skin and improved dental health.
Better taste
Nature knows best, so organic food tastes better than any other food. Further organic food is often sold locally resulting in availability of fresh produce in the market.
Animal welfare
Animal welfare is an important aspect of producing organic milk, meat, poultry and fish. People feel happy that the animals are not confined to a miserable caged life while eating organic animal products.
Preserves soil
Current farming practices like mono-cropping and use of chemical fertilizers have been depleting soil of its natural fertility. Organic farming practices like crop-rotation and use of organic manure help soil regain its fertility.
Biodiversity
The loss of a variety of species is a critical concern for a balanced ecosystem for our planet. Conventional farmers have ignored the value of preserving a diversity of seed varieties and have even been using genetically modified seed varieties, while organic farming relies on traditional seed varieties only.
Environment safety
As harmful chemicals are not used in organic farming, there is minimal soil, air and water pollution. Farmers and consumers face lesser health risks, thus ensuring a safe world for future generations to live in.
